My back...

GAH! I've managed to pull a muscle in my back which means two things.

1) It hurts when I do stuff... like type that scentance
2) I'm off work for a few days Wooo! Now I can lie in bed watching scrubs DVD's, playing Mario Kart DS and eating chocolate croissants or "chocolatini's" as we call them in this house.

Oh and apparently E3 is essentialy over.

Can art and commerce be reconciled in videogames?...

For my degree I recently wrote a paper on the subject of videogames uniting art and commerce, it looks in depth at what actually can be classified art and whether videogames can be classed as such considering their ultimate goal of making profit in a commercial environment. It also brings in theories and studies from Adorno and Horkheimer. If you're feeling academic and enjoy the games as art debate this may be an interesting read for you

Download from MegaUpload (MSWord document)
or
Download it from the RPG-TV webcomic (In the extras page)

It's not going to win any awards but I got bored and sketched this out. The proportions are all wrong and all sorts so don't bother telling me what needs to be changed cuz I'm aware lol.

DS internet browser dated for UK...

Usualy we Europeans get screwed when it comes to releases, but not on this occaision however as the Opera Internet browser for Nintendo DS has been dated for an EU release of Ocotber the 6th. This is more than great news as everything I've read about the app suggests that it is the real deal and worth every penny. Watch this space for more EU DS browsin news as it happens.

Have you ever had your ass handed to you at Halo by someone calling themselves Lil Poison? Because if you have you're about to feel even more ashamed- Lil Poison is this 8 year old profesional gamer, real name; Victor De Leon III.
He's already playing with the big boys and raking in the cash and women through sponsorships, checking out his blog gives an insight into what the Lil prodigy is now playing...

Nintendo McDonalds Dogs a coincidence?

I first noticed when Nintendogs hit our shores in Europe that Mc Donalds jumped on board with fluffy dog Happy Meal toys. While I was down at Newquay having a beach holiday (it was very nice thank you) I noticed McDonalds are once again pushing these cute furry dog toys and you know what? Nintendogs Dalmation and friends was released very recently.

I understood that Nintendo and McD were in a deal regarding the WiFi but I wonder if this is at all a coincidence or a heavily planned and advised move by the clown himself.

On holiday...

Okay, I'm going on Holiday for a week... Well its kind of a holiday, really more of sleeping in a tent by a beach but we'll see how. Anyway that means no updates for a week but keep an eye on the webcomic as usual, James will continue his post and make sure the new comics go up on time! See you next weekend!
